September 7-11 In My Memory Journal

All I can say here is…This Was So Much Fun!

These were the days when I was helping my daughter out and watching my grandson while she worked, so he didn’t have to go to daycare everyday. She’s a stay at home mommy now, but I can still give her a break now and again.

I think one of the things I miss quite a bit is that these were taken during the summer last year. It has been a long winter for a lot people, so summer shenanigans are well and truly in order!

I hope I will find the time to continue working on this when the weather improves…cheeky boy!

There is a video that goes with this on my YouTube channel, Patty’s Art Journals, if you would like to see how this page spread came together.

Thank you so much for stopping by,

Have a wonderful day!

Quote Journal Page

The other day, I found this quote card that I had printed up years ago. Not having the energy, or where-with-all, to look for a place to put it, I decided to just plant it where it belonged, in my quote journal.

…and, I figured since one of my goals this year was to make more process videos, I set up my camera. I know! I am also very surprised!

Clearly it was too early in the morning for such goings on, because when I did talk, I was just tongue tied. But, oh well, at least it’s up!

Then there was the ink stamping debacle, I may or may not have reprieved myself, you be the judge.

So, if your interested in seeing me put this page together, head on over to my YouTube Channel, Patty’s Art Journals, and see what you think.

As always,

Thank you for visiting,

Have a great day,

~Patty

Another Page In My “Meadow Green” Art Journal

I’m really enjoying having space to journal in my art journals again. Sometimes I leave the journal spots empty so I have a place to go when the journaling bug bites.

The little card at the right slips into the decorated envelope there. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a veggie garden feel here.

And the fact that I’m using some of my sweet happy mail gifties makes my heart sing!

I made a process video of this page on my YouTube Channel if you’d like to listen to my prattling…I mean commentary, head on over.

I’ve decided to ramp up my video making, so the “Another Video Up!…” title might get a bit redundant, so I’m going to start announcing it within the posts.

Well, I hope you like my little art journal, I have about eight more pages to go!

As always,

Thank you for stopping by,

Talk to you soon,

~Patty

The Last Page in My “Inky” Journal

So, the other day whilst filming my “Memory Journal Tag Page” vid, I figured since I had the camera set up, I might as well film another video.

If you have been following me for a while, this journal will be pretty familiar…oh, the angst!

Well, I’m happy to say that this is the last page of this journal! I’m even happier to say that I have had so much fun working in it, I’m making another one. A couple of people asked me to make a video of the page painting/inking process, so that will be happening soon also.

I had a tough time with my “Quack Grass” piece, but it was one of those things I couldn’t let go of, and I’m super happy it’s finally found a home.

Yes, I get attached to small pieces of paper…but you knew that, right!?

I left a little journaling spot on the last page to jot down a few thoughts. This journal and I have not been fast friends, so a little farewell note is definitely called for.

So, goodbye little journal!

I hope that you will take some time to visit my YouTube Channel and check out my latest video. Please let me know what you think!

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by,

Have a great week,

~Patty

Shoppe News! Kitschy Ephemera Packs!

By now you probably know how I feel about kitsch…kinda awesome!

In January I made some pretty kitschy art journals, so I thought it would be fun to put some ephemera packs together too.

Filled with all manner of kitschy goodness, cards, game pieces, images, postage stamps, the usual suspects.

Of course with all the orange and green goodness that befits the 60’s and 70’s.

50+ pieces in each pack, including some pretty cool paperclips to decorate your project.

I made eight of these, and each one is totally unique. Please pop over to my Etsy shoppe to see the full line.

…and as always,

Thank you for the visit,

Have a great week,

~Patty
