Shoppe News!

New art journals and ephemera packs in the shoppe today!

One of my favorite things to do is to gather up books and ephemera within a theme. Christmas and Halloween is easy, but some of the other themes I come up with are a bit trickier. I’ve had this one on the back burner for quite a while…

…”Country Life”, just in time for summer!

Each ephemera pack has 45+ pieces with matching paperclips (loved making those!).

Lots of farming, barnyard animals, and fruits and veggies.

The journals have lots of super cute pages with a country theme.

Each one comes with their own small selection of ephemera of course.

And painted art pages.

Please mosey on over to PattysArtJournals if you would like to see more details, the link to my shoppe is in my sidebar, or click here.

I’m happy to say that I’ve decided to do these “Shoppe News” posts during the week from now on. I want to leave my weekends free for sharing my latest creative projects, or in the case of this weekend’s post, thrifting! Yay!

Thanks so much for the visit

Hopefully I will see you this weekend,

~Patty

Shoppe News and “Half-baked” Art Journals

My goal of finishing up “half-baked” art journals is well on it’s way.

I’m one of those people that gets super inspired, then wants to jump in before I loose my momentum, leaving partially finished projects in my wake.

This journal is from a batch of mini art journals I made back in 2015. They were really popular, they may have to make a comeback.

The final page spread. Time to move on…

…but before I do that, I want to share the new ephemera packs this journal inspired me to make for my shoppe.

There’s a lot to take in here, flower cutouts (I cut way more than I’ll ever use), stamped images, floral postage stamps, vintage images from an old gardening book, birds…well, you get the idea.

I think these are my favorite ephemera packs to date. I made 10 of them, so if you’d like to see more, pop over to my shoppe by hitting the link in my sidebar or go here.

I’ve struggled over the last week as to which “half-baked” art journal I want to jump back into for June, and I have finally chosen one. I’ll share more about that next time.

As always,

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Have a great weekend,

~Patty

Mini Art Journals In the Shoppe

Well, between weeding and replanting, I finally got around to making and listing some mini art journals. I love these mini art journals to use up some of the smaller bits that need a home.

I used the original book pages on all of these because they were so cute.

Case in point!

Of course lots of ephemera included.

And some of my painted pages. I kept them simple and just decorated over the white background.

Be sure to use the coupon code: CUSTOMERLOVE20 to receive 20% off your order!

There’s lots to look at, so pop on over to my shoppe when you get a chance! The link is in my sidebar, or here

Until next time,

Thanks for the visit,

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend,

~Patty

Shoppe News: 12 New Journal Inserts!

The last time I made new journals for my shoppe, I was too lazy to post about it here. But, I am so in love with these new journals, I had to share!

The covers are made from vintage magazine and book covers.

Each journal is hand stitched with waxed embroidery thread. I stitched an envelope into each journal to hide the stitching on the inside. A perfect place to keep ephemera or journaling spots.

I added extra paper pieces to some of the journals for extra interest.

Some of the pages are just text, but most of them are pretty interesting.

And, of course they include a small assortment of ephemera to play with, including a handmade library pocket and journaling card, a tea dyed coin envelope, and a small decorative envelope.

I’ve decided to shy away from adding pockets and tuck spots into my journals. They are too easy for the purchaser to add, so I thought a few interesting envelopes to play with would be much more fun!

Please go check them out, and if you feel you can’t live without one, I am offering a 15%off coupon to my blog followers. Use the coupon code: CUSTOMERLOVE15 at checkout to receive your discount.

As always,

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a great day,

~Patty

Taking a Breather

I made it on the other side of a huge goal! I’ve always wanted to get my Holiday shoppe makings finished well before the Holidays, as opposed to during, and I’ve done it!

I could stay busy till I drop with what needs to be done outside of making things for my shoppe, but I decided to push through and get it done. If you want to see what I’ve been up to, hit this link. I have a few more ideas I’d like to work on, but I’d really rather relax and have a little fun……case in point.

How cute is this? It’s a gift to me for a job well done! I’ve tried making nature themed journals in the past, but they always seemed to fizzle out, I’m hoping this one will stay the course. Actually, art journaling in general has fizzled out as of late, hopefully that’s behind me.

This page looks a bit “Spring-y”, with a little fall thrown in, but it ticks all the boxes: flowers, birds, washi…insect?

I found an old paper pad where I had jotted down some quotes quite a few years ago and decided it was time to give them a home. Another piece of flotsam put to use.

This page has been hanging on my wall waiting for a home for too long! I may color it in with pencil, but I love it just how it is. Again: mouse, bee, mushroom…sweet!

This is an example of some of the ephemera packs I made for my shoppe, I call them “Flora and Fauna”.

If you decide to visit my shoppe, and find a few things you can’t live without, be sure to use the coupon code CUSTOMERLOVE20 to receive 20% off your order.

Here is my latest page, I pulled a junk journal insert out of my shoppe. I think I may have to make more of these, they’re super fun!

It’s rather strange how relaxed I feel right now, it was totally worth all the hard work, and my studio is that much more organized too!

As per usual, I feel pretty guilty ignoring this old blog, and my Youtube channel, but there is only so much time in the day.

I signed up for the iHanna postcard swap again, so I need to get started on those now, I’ll be sure to take process photos to share.

If you’d be interested in receiving one, sight unseen, just post a comment and email your address to me by November 1st and I’ll get one out to you, international addresses included, (my email is at the top right).

Until next time,

Thanks for the visit,

Have a great week,

~Patty
