“There is too much time in the day” said no one…ever! After ticking things off my To Do list all summer, I finally got down to something I’ve been pining to do for a very long time, making cards, and boy was it fun!
I guess you could say it started here. These cards were cut from some extremely bright cardstock from Michael’s several years ago. As you can see, they have seen better days. I used these for a different project that I changed my mind about, but let’s move on…
Here is a smattering of what I used to decorate the cards, doilies (6 inch! thank goodness I found a use for these monsters!), paper pieces, flower embellishments, heart stickers, a sharpie pen…
…and these sweet quote cards! I love these things!
I’ve become slightly addicted to buying paper pads with lots of fun stuff to cut apart. It used to bother me when pads had those pages, because I wanted the pages for my journals, and it seemed a waste. But, the wide world of paper crafting showed me the error of my ways, and now all is right with the world…my world…the paper crafting world…well, you know what I mean!
Ah, but let’s not forget the cards. Notice how I used the big fat doilies, clever right (there’s 100 in the pack I bought, daunting!)
I thought the journaling cards would be a nice touch for writing on the inside. I’ve already sent some of these out, and it was definitly a good idea. My writing is never streight, and I just love how they look! And now I have a new use for my huge collection of journaling cards!
Here is a close up of the pen markings, the cards just don’t feel “finished” with out them.
So, there you have it, another project revved up and running. I’d like to do either a tutorial or a video on the steps and process. If your interested in one or the other, or both, just let me know in the comments. Also, your opinion of my little blog and posts would be much appreciated. It’s always more gratifying to write when you know someone is out there!
Until next time,
Thank you so much for stopping by,
Enjoy the rest of your week,
~Patty
