A Different Kind of Keepsake Journal

So, I’ve decided to stop doing my annual “Holiday Keepsake Journals”! I was finding that I had so many different memory keeping projects I didn’t have time to do much else, and it would make more sense to put that energy into Project Life

But this project has me by the heart strings!

This is a journal that was gifted to me a couple of years ago by a sweet friend I made on Instagram. It sat on a shelf waiting for me to find the perfect time to work in it, and I’m glad I waited, because some projects just need to simmer for a while.

As you can see, she decorated and embellished many of the pages for me. The flash card on the left has a sweet Christmas message, and I love how she personalized it!

As I gathered embellishments, I kept finding more and more little keepsakes that had been sent to me over the years by my friends, and it slowly became clear that this was going to be the perfect place to store all these little gifts.

Truth be told, I have collected and saved these goodies for more years than I’d like to admit, so I’m not always sure who sent what, but many of them have a sweet note attached. If you recognize anything, please give me a shout, I’d love to hear from you!

I tried to keep the original ascetic of this journal going. The page on the right is a combination of both of our styles.

This is an envelope that was filled with Christmas treasures from a friend I’ve swapped with for years, a perfect place to put this beautiful mixed media card another friend made me.

I’m almost sure I will keep running into more Christmas keepsakes in the future, and I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to have them all in a place that I can just pick up and flip through! There are a few more pages to share in this journal (I got a little excited), so I’ll be sure to share those soon.

Also, I’m working on an Advent Journal right now, so more on that later too.

As always,

Thank you for stopping by,

I hope you are enjoying the Holidays,

Talk to you soon,

~Patty
