Struggling to Find the Words

I have come to the conclusion that I need to downsize my online shenanigans along with my crafty supplies. How’s that for an intro?! I have telling myself for months that I can keep up with everything, but truth be told, when I open up my blog app, I just don’t know what to say. I have been working more steadily on my journals over the last few months more than ever actually, but finding things to say about them has really been a struggle.

The same thing has happened on Instagram. Looking for the words to go along with the photos has become too much of a drama, so I stopped posting.

But, I don’t seem to have that problem on YouTube. Maybe because there is more of flow to communicating there. Also, I have become much more engaged with the people I follow there. I look forward to seeing their videos and I even comment once in a while.

I don’t know if this goodbye here on the olde bloggy, but I didn’t want to just abandon you and not say anything. This decision has been a long time coming, and it hasn’t been easy. Many of you have been following my blog for many years, and I cannot express how grateful I am to ALL of you for sticking with me for so long.

I understand that YouTube isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but if you want to know where to find me, that’s where I’ll be for the foreseeable future.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You,

From the bottom of my heart,

Much Love,

~Patty

    1. Hi Miranda, Sorry I took so long to approve and reply to your comment. I kind of walked away from here and stopped paying attention. Thank you for your kind words and being a long time follower here. šŸ™‚

  1. I’m in the middle of a posting every day month challenge and I do feel that sharing is easier when we do it consistently and not just once a month or even less, which has been what I did for the past couple of years. If you stop blogging it will be sad to me, but I also understand. It’s a lot of work and a bit lonely these days.

Are you following me on YouTube? I’ll go make sure I follow your chanbel now, but I think that I am subscribed already.

take care and keep filling those pages, they are so pretty!

  2. Greetings Patty! What ever, when ever or where ever, I will enjoy what you make! How about just some quiet flips of your older journals and makes? Your work speaks for itself! Just don’t go too fast so I will have time to enjoy it! šŸ™‚šŸ™‚

      1. Well, I think you should do what works best for you Patty. The Friday Flip through is a good idea, but a flip review on any day is fine. What would give you the least amount of stress and work out best for your life? I have never had a blog, so I don’t know the rules, but I would enjoy your post with its creative content, any time you choose to share. I will follow you no matter when, how or what you choose!

One last thought – you might think that what you make is a no brainer as they say, but for someone like me, its an endless source of inspiration and fun. I love your selection of bits and pieces with its wonderful colors and content choices. I enjoy it so much and it makes me happy and I hope it is the same for you!

Rest in your talent and be at peace my friend.

        Love,

        Melodie

  3. Life does that, but keeping up the art and an online communication is nice.

Once in a while it’s good to hear, “what great colors or form, or maybe just pretty work”.
