Happiest of Happy Mail

A couple of weeks ago I received a package in the mail that completely blew me away! The happiest kind of happy mail, a Random Act of Kindness from my sweet friend Judy!

It was filled with paper treasures of all kinds…

The coolest antique ephemera I have ever seen, let alone owned!

It will take a very special project for me to use these, and I’m getting pretty close to an idea.

IMG_9392

I have had these old scrapbooks for quite a few years now, and have been waiting for just the right project to use them for.

IMG_9396

The pages are pretty tattered. And as you can see, they were used in the way scrapbooks used to be used for, collecting scraps of paper.

I think that this awesome ephemera and these scrapbooks are a marriage made in heaven! I’m going to do a little homework and see what I can come up with. Thank you so much Judy!

And, as always,

Thank you for the visit,

Have a great day,

Patty

RadishBlossoms Shoppe News

Just in time for the first day of Fall this week, I made some cute little Halloween Tassel Clips for the shoppe!

IMG_9263

Right off the bat, I created a combination pack. Clock wise from top left, the colors are Vintage, Classic, Candy Corn, and Harlequin.

IMG_9311

Vintage Halloween, my vintage halloween ephemera was the inspiration for this color story.

IMG_9279Candy Corn! Need I say more? Yes, I realize many people don’t feel the same way I do about the taste, but you have to love the color!

IMG_9300Classic Halloween! I remember when these were the only colors you would see in Halloween decor…can you say “olde school!”

IMG_9305

Harlequin Halloween, a very festive color combination! Love!

So, there you have it! A bit early of some maybe, but I’ve been seeing Christmas in the craft stores already, so I’m not too far off the mark!

If you find you can’t live without these, check out my shoppe. And please don’t forget the coupon code IGLOVE15 to get additional 15% off your entire purchase!

Thanks again for the visit,

Have a great weekend,

Patty

My White Color Crush Decor

Yesterday, I received one email too many talking up the Creative Holiday Planner Workshop! Because, I could resist no longer! I am so glad I joined! What eye candy!

Although I didn’t decorate this planner for the Holidays, I was inspired to finally get my white Color Crush decorated.

IMG_9328

Looks a bit Autumnal with the gold and reds. I believe I’m having a bit of fun with paper clips lately. It’s become somewhat of an obsession.

IMG_9331

It all started with this dashboard and that awesome vase on the wall. Is that to die for or what!? I love staring at it! Gold vase, red wall, pink flowers, what’s not to love!?

This is my business resource planner, where I put any business educational info. Books, podcasts, class notes, etc., so I put an inspirational quote here and there.

IMG_9323

My dividers. As you can see, I got out my vintage flower arranging book, LOVE! I threw in the paper clips to cover white space, so much fun!

IMG_9324 2

Yeah…in case you missed them…

IMG_9317

Washi tape, post-its, note paper and more paperclips. I usually have plenty of this on hand, but it’s a great way to have the coordinating colors at hand  if I take it on the road, plus it’s cute!

So, like I said at the top of this post, I’m taking the Creative Holiday Planner Workshop. Because I don’t want to take apart any of my existing planners…do you know where this is going?…I just bought another planner! Ooops!

All I can say is that I just had an anniversary, and I know it’s exactly what my husband would buy me if I gave him the chance. And this is why I tell him not to buy me gifts. I always find something I want, then chalk it up to latest event. I’ll try not to milk this one for too long!

It goes without saying that I will be sharing my Holiday planner decor.

Until next time,

Have a great day,

Thank you for stopping in,

~Patty

Catching Up on My “30 Days of Lists” Journal

Doing two list challenges in one month would seem a bit daunting, but I had decided to keep this one kind of simple, so it hasn’t been bad at all!

IMG_9024

 Days 4 and 5.

But, I did need to play a little catch-up here and there. I’m really enjoying the list making as much as the decorating surprisingly enough.

IMG_9021

Days 6 and 7.

Putting odd sized pages in this journal was a fun idea. I’ll have to do this more often!

IMG_9020Day 11.

Using up the mass quantities of die cuts I had bought this year has really helped things move along. Ready made embellishments makes things go a bit faster. It seems as though I can’t use anything unless it’s been sitting around for a while (…me shaking my head!)

IMG_0341These list are just another way to journal as far as I can tell. Instead of writing what’s on my mind, I’m thinking about bits of my life that would have probably past me by. But, I’m sure that seasoned list challenge folks have already figured that out!

Well, back to work on my lists…and my decorating…and my…

Thank you for stopping in,

Have a great Day,

Finishing My “Reconstructed” Art Journal

I first wrote about this little art journal back in August. I have managed to get an art journal finished in one month!

That has to be some kind of new record for me!

IMG_8967

I’m thinking it was because I just had fun with it! No expectations, just use up as much randomness as possible! That photo on the right is from a lovely visit I had with my daughter last year.

I love using keepsakes in my journals!

IMG_9028

I have a lot of stuff that has been laying around waiting for a home since last year, that “Grow” sticker for example. I pulled that out of one of my DIY planners at the beginning of the year.

I loved it too much to just toss it!

IMG_9025

Here’s something a bit different for me, no journaling. A quote card that was tucked into the memory board above my desk for the past year. I’m going to use these quote cards more often! Some people may say “What’s the point?”, but I revisit my journals for ideas all the time.

I’ll be seeing that again soon!

IMG_9030

The last page. I have already journaled my way through this journal! I so enjoy decorating the pages when I have the urge to be creative, then having them ready when I have the urge to write!

There are a few more journals I need to get finished up, and that is what my next plan is. I’m getting quite the little library of finished journals!

Thank you once again for your visit,

Have a great rest of your week,

~Patty
